Intelligentia started in November 1999 after an idea from Valdi Ivancic, CEO and one of the founders, about developing a new keyboard for computers. He read about how children learned using an alphabetical keyboard faster than a standard qwerty-keyboard. 

When solving the problem by putting an LCD-display on top of every key on the keyboard, new application areas of use were found. The iBoard, as we call our intelligent keyboard, is now patented.
